Why Salzburg, you might ask.

Well, in Austria, the people love their coffee, and take it seriously.

And Salzburg was one of the cities we found really good cafés to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Even Salzburg restaurants or cafes in Salzburg hotels offer fantastic coffees.

In Austria, they call them Kaffeehaus, and each of them is somewhat different, giving you a new experience each time you step into one.

Back in the days, a coffee house was a regular place for poets, writers, artists to congregate and discuss their next big ideas.

We bet something great was born from one of these coffee houses.

Another cool thing (maybe not for the proprietors) is that with the purchase of a single drink, you can pretty much sit in a Kaffeehaus the whole day, reading the newspapers or magazines, or playing a board game.

We are not going to stand between you and the next shot of espresso, in no particular order, continue reading our guide to the top 11 best cafes in Salzburg!
